Welcome to Achill Cliff House, a new 3-Star family-run hotel and restaurant located in Keel, at the heart of Achill Island, Co, Mayo. We offer quality accommodation and fine dining in one of the most spectacular settings in the west of Ireland.

Room Information

Achill Cliff House offers fine quality hotel accommodation in an outstanding location at the heart of Achill Island. Our bedrooms are large and spacious and provide a full range of in-room facilities for guests, include large en-suite bathrooms in every bedroom. Our aim is to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

All our bathrooms offer both a power shower and bath. Bedroom facilities also include arm chairs and table, tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephones (with international access), trouser press and hairdryer. A large (21") TV is included in every bedroom.

Food and Beverage

The restaurant at Achill Cliff House is renowned for its fresh food, fine wines and excellent value for money. We use fresh local produce for our dishes, with Achill lamb a speciality. Our restaurant currently holds a 'Highly Acclaimed' Dining Award from the RAC and is recommended in the Georgina Campbell Guide to Ireland.

Atlantic seafood, caught daily in the waters around Achill Island, is hugely popular in the restaurant. Wild salmon, black sole, cod and turbot are offered along with crab, mussels and Clew Bay oysters. Fresh Achill lobster is a delicacy not to be missed.

We offer both a-la-carte and set-menu dining, with the set menu in particular offering excellent value for money. All our menus are complemented with fine wines from our wine list, or drinks from our fully-licensed bar.

The beautiful dining rooms and restaurant at Achill Cliff House look out at the panoramic view of the Minaun Cliffs towering above the Atlantic Ocean and the golden beach at Keel.

We welcome birthday and anniversary parties. In fact, any special occasion that deserves to be celebrated with gourmet food, fine wines and great craic. Just let us know in advance and we will try to accommodate your needs, including specially baked cakes.

Area Information

Achill Island is Ireland's largest island. Located off the west coast of County Mayo at approximately 10 degrees west, it covers some 57sq miles of spectacular scenery. This unforgettable landscape ranges from soaring mountains and dramatic cliffs to seascapes, beautiful sandy beaches and rugged bogland terrain. Achill boasts no fewer than five Blue Flag beaches and the highest sea cliffs in Europe. Its two highest mountains, Slievemore and Croaghaun, stand at 672m and 688m respectively.
